Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby

I went to the Kentucky Oaks on Friday and it was fantastic. We got into the track around 10:30. That gave us time to set up shop and start looking at the racing forums. Me and my friend Matt Rohr had a really solid day. We picked the winner in six out of the first seven races. We also hit back to back trifectas in the 7th and 8th races. I have to give credit to my uncle on the 8th for supplying me with the winner in the trifecta. I got a voicemail with 2 minutes to post from him telling me to take the tri, I did and it payed around $395 on a 2 dollar bet. I ended up winning around $1070. Not too bad of a day for really having no clue of what your doing. The weather was the only bad part of the day. It poured most of the day, but it didn't really matter as we were pouring in the money. Me and Rohr also made our annual TV appearance again...HA. I haven't gotten the oppurtunity to watch it yet, but one of rohr's friends has it taped and I'm supposed to get a copy sometime.

I think I posted earlier in one of my blogs that I was supposed to be going to the Derby also. Well it didn't pan out and I ended up not making the trip. I bet the 9th and the Derby and whiffed my bets and lost around $80. I was really impressed by Big Brown and this is the first time in a long time I've thought a horse would win the Triple Crown. I just don't really see this horse getting beat. He will for sure go off as the 1-9 favorite in the Preakness. So there won't be any value in betting him. I don't even know if I'll even wager any bets for that race. It was a pretty good weekend though on the betting front.

I'm not real sure right now when I'll play poker again online. It could be later tonight or sometime in two weeks. I really have no urge to play anytime soon, but who knows. I plan on playing alot of golf from now until I leave for Vegas in June. I plan on buying a new driver with my winnings from the track this past weekend. On a side note, Tom Crean keeps landing recruit after recruit and I couldn't be more happier with the direction he is taking the team. Well I'll let ya go, take it easy.
